You Made Me

You made me feel loved,

you made me feel special,

you made me believe in the impossible,

you made me feel you.

I felt loved and cherished,

I felt our love was true,

I felt we had a special connection,

I felt we’d last forever through the mist.

 You lavished me with words of praise,

you lavished me with love and care,

you lavished me with the promise of eternal love,

you lavished me with bliss.

I felt feelings of safety and security,

I felt feelings I’d never felt before,

I felt feelings of truth you meant your words,

I felt feelings of fear you were too good to be true.

To know the truth you have to dig,

to know the truth you have to unravel,

to know the truth you have to wonder,

to know the truth you have to question.

You can’t hide your lies forever,

you can’t hide your true identity,

you can’t hide your real feelings,

you can’t hide your ulterior motives.
